We all know the fact that learning how to program requires motivation. It is definitely intimidating. So, what do you do when you’re not motivated to code? Watch computer programming movies!

Well, we have a list of computer programming movies that you must watch when you are down or require motivation to go and start programming.

These movies for programmers have helped many of the programmers(including me) and I am sure that you will love this collection.

Now, if you’ve got some motivation, do have a look at these C Programs and start learning C programming.

1. The Social Network (2010)

The Social Network movie, which is the story of Facebook was launched in 2010. It is still the most watched movie by computer programmers. I would highly suggest you go ahead and watch the trailer below.

2. Algorithm: The Hacker Movie (2014)

Raphael Barker is a computer programmer, or rather a computer hacker and hacks into government systems, WiFi networks and much more.

This movie displays everything so beautifully that you will be amazed. Watch the complete movie in the video below.

3. The Internship (2013)

This movie depicts how two unemployed males in their 30s got an internship at Google, California headquarters. Later, during the course of their internship they struggled hard among all the different teams.

Finally, they go on to fetch a high paying job at Google. This is a must watch movie if you’re feeling low today.

4. Her (2013)

This is yet another mind blowing movie. This guy does not has any girlfriend and feels lonely. So, he developed an operating system personified by a female voice.

This operating system is his girlfriend and they develop an awesome relationship with each other. YOU MUST WATCH THIS ONE!

 

5. Primer (2004)

This movie is a science fiction drama movie and it depicts time travel.

This story is based on four entrepreneurs who in search of innovation progress on to build something amazing.

6. Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999)

This movie was initially a television drama and was a biographical film based on Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.

 

However, later they converted this into a film because it got so popular. This is a really good film and will get you to know how Apple and Microsoft have been fighting with each other since so long.

7. War Games (1983)

This is an American cold war science fiction film. This film depicts the lead actor who hacks into an American Military super-computer and gets into War Operation Plan Response files.

Then he builds a gameplay around it which is mind blowing as far as the creativity is considered.

8. Antitrust (2001)

A computer programmer who lands up a brand new job in a good firm discovers some hidden secrets about his boss.

These new hires find out hidden truths about the various operations of the firm by hacking into their systems.

9. Matrix (1999)

This is a film that depicts pure computer hacking and it is a science fiction movie.

This movie describes the simulated reality and also depicts the way they handle machines using computer programming and hacking.

10. A Beautiful Mind (2001)

This is a biographical thriller movie which is a biography based on John Nash who was an exceptional mathematician.

This film talks about his journey in cryptography and how he invests all of himself into it.

11. The Internet’s Own Boy: Story of Aaron Swartz (2014)

This movie is an American documentary based on Aaron Swartz. This film describes the life of programming prodigy Aaron Swartz from his childhood till he was alive.

This is definitely a mind blowing movie. It showcases some dark hidden secrets in the computing world.
